At Adriatic Granite we complete each stage of manufacturing with a wet process. When water is present during cutting, grinding, shaping and polishing the process creates a clean work area for staff and a safe environment as well. We believe in conducting business in a safe and educated manner, but also in an environmentally friendly one as well. Our water is recycled and reused many times before it cycled out of the system.

There are seven steps in our process of water polishing edges:
First we start with 50 grit polisher then we move up step by step. 100 grit then 400, 800, 1500, 3000 and finally we end with 7000, a very fine diamond grit polisher for that high shine on your edges that will last a lifetime. Just another added extra step Adriatic Granite does for our clients.

Getting a Quote:

The more information you provide the more accurate your quote.

Helpful information:
- Layout plan or cabinet drawings with precise measurements
- Type of stone and color (if known)
- Edge profile (if known)
- Indicate which edges are finished and if a backsplash will be required
- Type of sink cut out (top mount or under mount)
- Stove type (cook top or slide in)

If some of the information is missing, like stone color or edge profile we will quote a standard edge and medium level granite. We must have all of the proper measurements to quote properly.

Once the quote is approved by the client the slabs are hand picked by the owner who goes to Vancouver to choose from the highest grade slabs.

Ordering & Templating:

Once you have decided on your Granite or Marble & agreed to the specified estimate, ADRIATIC GRANITE & MARBLE WORKS will require a 50% deposit.

Our trained experts will measure and make an exact template of your kitchen, bath or special project. The template will contain information regarding the location of sinks, seams and edges. Before templating is performed following conditions must be met:
- Your cabinets need to be finished and level
- All cabinets need to be installed, including island
- Corbels or supports must be installed
- The sink needs to be available because it may have to be taken back to the fabricator for template use as the sink cutout

Installation:

We will contact you to arrange a date and time for the installation process. Our installers will arrive early at the jobsite. Normally the install is done in one day, but there are some large jobs that take longer to finish. Our installers are artists and install each piece to create a visually stunning result.

- Make sure that the pathway to carry your new countertop has been cleared at the job site is clear or other construction materials
- Taps need to be onsite then faucet holes will be drilled and sink attached
- All kitchen appliances need to be on location for proper installation (stove, cook top, fridge, dishwasher, ect.)

When you granite or marble has been installed and cleaned our technicians will apply a penetrating enhancer sealer to the surface of the counter top. Before our crew leaves the jobsite they always make sure the work area is clean and beautiful.
